AGV System
Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV) system small scale prototype was created to improve Workflow process and help reduce risk of workers safety as well as implement a Human Robot collaboration system to help with the change from Manual to automated system.

This project was done in hope to improve productivity in a logistic warehouse setting where packages are move, packed and label manually.
Final Prototype
The turtlebot burger will detect the custom lifted platform using the red and white colour tape attached near the wheels to align itself. Once align, the four micro servo motor will turn to lock the custom lifted platform and then guide the custom lifted platform through line following to the designated docking zone.
How it was done
System Overview
Our AGV system was to tackle challenges such as Manual Labor & Ergonomic issues, Space Constraints, Aging workforce and insufficient manpower and improve productivity while maintaining sustainability.

Our system automates the transportation of palletize material using modified AGVs.
-
Core Hardware:
-
AGVs for autonomous transport
-
Custom-lifted platforms for palletized materials
-
Locking mechanism for secure attachment
-
-
Navigation & Detection:
-
Line-following for path guidance
-
Color-based detection for docking accuracy
-
LiDAR sensors for obstacle avoidance.
-
-
Control Interface:
Simple GUI with three buttons:-
"Filled" – Confirms loading completion
-
"Refill" – Returns AGV to staging
-
“Collect" – Retrieves a platform
-
The system reduces manual labour, enhancing efficiency and flexibility by autonomously navigating, docking, and transporting materials.
